Technical Support Information

I am a full time specification writer, and am not currently in a position to provide timely technical support for these applications.  The above solutions are easy to install and are used daily by the vast majority of users without the need for any additional support.  If you have questions related to an application,  please review the relevant documentation and training videos listed on this page for the application you are using. 

In the event you are still having  an issue, it is most likely related to network issue or a unique configuration setting on your computer, and your regular technical support staff should be able to resolve your issue. 

If you have suggestions to improve an application, or have a specific application issue that your tech support team is unable to resolve, feel free to send me an e-mail, and I will respond as time permits.

• Adobe Reader: Removing “Please wait while the document is being prepared for reading” Message in Adobe Reader 9

All you have to is change a quick setting:

1. Open Acrobat Reader and hit Ctrl+K (or Select “Edit” then “Preferences” from the drop-down menu)
2. Click on the “Reading” tab under the “Categories” column on the left.
3. Select the “Screen Reader Options” section, select the “Only read the currently visible pages” option from the dropdown menu.
4. Click “OK”.

• Updated Master Preamble Document For Use With The Preamble Creation Tool. 

  This document contains the current preamble content in use by the North Central SSC.  The contents of “P:\SSCPreamble (Master).doc” are automatically imported by the Preamble Creation Tool when preparing each specification.  If you have chosen to edit your existing master preamble, you will want to reconcile any discrepancies between your existing preamble and this updated document.  If you have NOT previously edited the master preamble, you can simply save this file to your drive P: to overwrite your existing preamble with the new version.
